Synopsis
Riccardo, Count of Salinguerra, seduced Leonora under a false name and abandoned her, and is about to marry Cuniza, sister of Ezzelino da Romano. On the wedding day Leonora comes to confront him, and meets her father Oberto, beaten by Ezzelino and back from refuge in Mantua, who means to avenge her.
