Synopsis
In Milan the brothers Arvino and Pagano, sons of Folco of Rò, are publicly reconciled after Pagano, who once threatened his brother's life over Viclinda, returns from exile. Arvino is named to lead the Lombards on the crusade, but Pagano still wants Viclinda, now Arvino's wife, and plots with Arvino's squire Pirro to take her.
