Synopsis
Attila's Huns have sacked Aquileia. Odabella, daughter of the city's lord, asks him for a sword, meaning to avenge her father, whom he killed. The Roman general Aetius offers Attila the world if Italy is left to him, while Foresto, a knight of Aquileia, leads survivors into the lagoons, mourning her captivity.
