La Coupe et les Lèvres

A dramatic poem, published in December 1832 in Musset's collection Un spectacle dans un fauteuil, whose title says what the pieces in it were for: reading in an armchair rather than staging. Fontana took its outline for Edgar and set the action in Flanders in 1302.
