Dante Zucchi
An Italian tenor from Mantua in secondary roles, who studied with Carlo Montanari at Parma. He was Bardolfo when Falstaff reached the Teatro Regio in Turin in December 1893 and Bologna in 1894, and on 1 February 1896 he created Parpignol in La bohème at the Turin Regio. Between 1895 and 1911 he returned often to the Teatro Solís in Montevideo, singing Isèpo, the Incredibile, Spoletta and Parpignol, and he was Normanno at Parma under Cleofonte Campanini in 1910. His career also took him to the Liceu in Barcelona, La Scala and Covent Garden, where his Spoletta was particularly admired.
