Thea Vitulli
Birthplace: Buenos Aires, Argentina
An Argentine soprano, born in Buenos Aires, who made her debut at Santiago in Chile in 1919 as Musetta. She made her Italian debut the next year, creating Lisette in the revised La rondine at Palermo. At the Teatro Costanzi in Rome she created Coralito in Vittadini's Anima allegra in 1921 and sang Xenia in Boris Godunov and Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, and at La Scala she created Fidelia in Respighi's Belfagor in 1923. She sang often at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, recorded a complete La bohème for HMV in 1928, and later taught singing in Buenos Aires.
