Hermine von Siegstädt

Hermine von Siegstädt was an Austrian soprano who spent her whole career at the Vienna Court Opera, joining as a pupil in 1864 and as an ensemble member in 1866, three years before it moved into the house on the Ring. She sang Siébel in Faust and Stéphano in Roméo et Juliette, and created Sarah in Doppler's Judith in 1870 and Astaroth in Goldmark's Die Königin von Saba in 1875. She had sung the shepherd in Tannhäuser since 1870 and took it again at the premiere of the house's revised version in 1875. She left the stage in January 1883.
