Magdalene Seebe

Magdalene Seebe was a German soprano who studied at the Leipzig Conservatory under Friedrich Rebling and made her debut there in 1898 in the title role of Lortzing's Undine. She remained at the Leipzig Opera until 1904, singing the title role in the 1902 premiere of Weingartner's Orestes, then joined the Dresden Court Opera in 1905, where she created the Second Maid in the premiere of Strauss's Elektra in 1909. She was made a Saxon royal chamber singer around 1914 and recorded for Pathé in 1912 and 1913. She married the director Arnold Falk in 1917 and was last heard of in May 1939.
