Faustino Ratti

An Italian bass who sang secondary roles in Turin and the provinces for more than twenty years. He appeared at the Teatro Alfieri in Asti from 1882 to 1899, and at the Teatro Regio in Turin in the late 1880s as Ruggiero in La Juive, Count Rodolfo, Nurabad and Zuniga. In 1892 he created Gualtiero in the three-act Edgar at Ferrara, and in 1894 he sang Bobadilla in Cristoforo Colombo under Toscanini at Bologna. In January 1905 he created Don Pasquale in Montemezzi's Giovanni Gallurese in Turin, and he died there that March.
