Roberto Ramini
An Italian tenor whose career, from the 1870s to the 1890s, was spent mostly in secondary roles. He created Adolfo in Brizzi's L'avaro at Bologna in 1877 and José in Flotow's Alma l'incantatrice at the Théâtre-Italien in Paris in 1878, and sang at the Teatro Real in Madrid from 1880 to 1883. He was Roderigo when Otello reached Rome and Venice in 1887, and David in the first Die Meistersinger at La Scala in 1889. At Turin in 1893 he created Edmondo, the dancing master and the lamplighter in Manon Lescaut, and sang all three again in Rome in 1894.
