Renata Pezzati
Birthplace: Florence, Kingdom of Italy
An Italian mezzo-soprano, born in Florence, whose career ran for more than a quarter of a century. She probably made her debut at Prato in 1904 as Orsini in Lucrezia Borgia, and went on to sing Amneris at the Tivoli in San Francisco in 1908, and Azucena at Piacenza in 1919. She was Zita when Il trittico reached La Fenice in 1920, and in 1922 created La Frugola in the revised Il tabarro at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome. She sang with an Italian company in São Paulo in 1924, and at the Liceu in Barcelona in 1930.
