Erminio Pelz

Birthplace: Trieste, Austrian Empire
A baritone, born in Trieste. His Don Sallustio in Ruy Blas was heard at Pola, Corfu, Alexandria, Trieste, Padua, Catania and Kharkov between 1882 and 1886, and the Gazzetta musicale di Milano noted his "voce robustissima". On 31 May 1884 he created Guglielmo Wulf in Le Willis at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan, and he sang in the house's premieres of Favara's Marcellina that season and Bandini's Fausta in 1886. That autumn he sang in the premieres of Caccia's Gli Elvezi and Sinico's Spartaco at Trieste. He died in Milan the following May, aged 33.
