Achille Moro
An Italian baritone who created Lescaut in the first Manon Lescaut at the Teatro Regio in Turin on 1 February 1893. That season at the Regio he also sang Pogner in Die Meistersinger and Amonasro, after Zurga at Trieste in 1890 and the Count of Nevers at Bologna in 1892. In April 1894 he shared Ciccillo in the premiere of Nicola Spinelli's A basso porto at Cologne, given in German, and sang it in Rome in 1895. He was in Lohengrin at the Teatro Real in Madrid in 1895-96, and at the San Carlo in Naples in 1901 and 1912.
