Andrée Moreau

A French mezzo-soprano who created Suzy in La rondine at Monte Carlo on 27 March 1917, a few days before her eighteenth birthday. In the 1920s she was a member of the Trianon-Lyrique in Paris, creating parts in several of its operettas, and in 1926 went to New York with the French-American Opera Comique. At the Opéra-Comique she sang Fidalma in Il matrimonio segreto in 1931 and created Gertrude in Louis Urgel's Vieux garçons! in 1932. She went on to create comic parts in the operettas Andalousie in 1947 and Colorado in 1950 at the Gaîté-Lyrique.
