Liliana Marzano

Italian · soprano

An Italian soprano who trained at the Conservatorio Arcangelo Corelli in Messina and began her career by winning the AsLiCo competition in 1990, making her debut as Pamina. Mimì became her most frequent part, sung at the Teatro Regio in Turin in 1992 and at the Opéra de Lyon in 1999-2000. At the Regio she sang Yvette and Fleury in La rondine in 1994 and Isaure in Jérusalem in 1995, and at the Opéra de Nice she was Marguerite, Mireille and Alice Ford. In 2002 she sang Gelsomina in the first modern revival and recording of Braga's Il ritratto.
