Lodovico Graziani was an Italian tenor with a clear, vibrant voice who created Alfredo in La traviata at La Fenice in 1853. One of four brothers who became singers, among them the baritone Francesco, he studied with Cellini and made his debut at Bologna in 1845. He sang Gennaro in Lucrezia Borgia at the Théâtre-Italien in Paris in 1851, the title role of Donizetti's Dom Sébastien at the San Carlo in Naples in 1856, and Riccardo in Un ballo in maschera at La Scala in 1862. In 1865 he was Vasco da Gama in the first Italian L'Africaine, at Bologna.
