Michele Fiore
An Apulian bass whose career lasted nearly half a century. He made his debut at the Teatro Piccinni in Bari in 1896 as Ferrando in Il trovatore, and by 1901 was singing in Manaus and Belém. He was at the Coliseo and the Marconi in Buenos Aires in most seasons from 1906 to 1920, and at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome created the thief in Mascagni's Il piccolo Marat in 1921 and Il Talpa in the revised Il tabarro in 1922. He sang at the Liceu in Barcelona from 1924 to 1930 and at the Petruzzelli in Bari until 1940.
