A Turin tenor who created Edgar in the three-act Edgar at Ferrara in 1892 and sang it at the Teatro Regio in Turin that March. He studied at the Liceo Musicale in Turin and made his debut at Mondovì in 1883 as Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor. His parts ran from Elvino and Almaviva to Faust in Mefistofele and Enzo in La Gioconda, sung across Italy and in Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Madrid and Kiev. He was Lohengrin in Havana's first Wagner staging, in 1890-91, and in 1895 created the title role of Cerquetelli's Ettore Fieramosca at Terni.
