A bass of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, where he sang small parts for fifteen years and created several. He was the drunkard in the premiere of Massenet's Le jongleur de Notre-Dame on 18 February 1902, Michel and Amrou in Xavier Leroux's Théodora in 1907, a follower in Albert Dupuis's La passion in 1916, and the major-domo in La rondine on 27 March 1917. His other Monte Carlo parts included Zuniga, Monterone and the Duke of Norfolk in Henry VIII, and he sang Ceprano in a gala Rigoletto at the Paris Opéra in May 1912.
