An Italian mezzo-soprano from Reggio Emilia who studied with Filippi Veneri at the Milan Conservatory and made her debut in 1890 at Belluno as Azucena. At the Teatro Regio in Turin she was Magdalene in the house's first Die Meistersinger in 1892, and on 1 February 1893 created the musico in Manon Lescaut, singing Mistress Quickly in Falstaff there that December. Ortrud became one of her central roles, and in 1904 at Turin she created Sofia Ivanovna in Alfano's Risurrezione. She recorded duets with Cesira Ferrani and Giuseppe De Luca, and taught the soprano Elda Di Veroli.
