Rosina Caponetti

An Italian soprano, the first Anna in Le villi. At Catania in 1882 she sang Leonora in La forza del destino, the Queen in Marchetti's Ruy Blas, Violetta and Jone, and at Como in 1883 Leonora in Il trovatore. On 31 May 1884 she created Anna in the first version of Le villi at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan, in a voice Il teatro illustrato called simpatica. The next year she sang in Ruy Blas again and created the title role in Irene Morpurgo's Maria.
