Alexander Campbell
Alexander Campbell was an American character actor with six Broadway credits between 1931 and 1943, among them Coastwise, Child of Manhattan and, as Captain Ebenezer, Feathers in a Gale. All of them were straight plays but Porgy and Bess, where he took the spoken part of the Detective.
