Elena Boronat
An Italian soprano, the sister of the coloratura Olimpia Boronat. In Rome in 1880 she sang in the premiere of Libani's Sardanapalo at the Teatro Apollo, opposite Mattia Battistini, and was Adalgisa in the Teatro Costanzi's first Norma. In December 1884 she created Anna in the two-act Le villi at the Teatro Regio in Turin, and sang Berta in Le prophète there the next month. At the Apollo in 1887 she and Jules Devoyod had to repeat their duet in Der fliegende Holländer, and she later sang Sita in Le roi de Lahore at Parma.
