Lamberto Belleri

An Italian tenor from Brescia who sang in the chorus and small parts at the Metropolitan Opera. He made his debut there at the world premiere of La fanciulla del West on 10 December 1910, creating the postilion, and sang the part through the opera's first seasons. When Fanciulla returned to the Met in the 1929-30 season he took it up again, and he later appeared in Louise, Merry Mount and Lakmé, his last listed appearance being a gala in December 1943. His wife was the chorister Marguerite Belleri. He died in Queens.
